Over the past few months, Aaron Rodgers became one of the most polarizing figures in all of sports. The former Green Bay Packers quarterback caused a rift not only between Packers fans, but amongst all of those that follow the NFL.
I too have taken a stance, and while I’m very happy with the direction the Packers chose, and not so happy with how Aaron has handled the situation, I’d like to show him some love.
With the release of the Madden 2024 cover a week ago, I saw a tweet reminding me of an argument I’ve made numerous times over the Chico, California native’s time here in Titletown.

Aaron Rodgers is a top three franchise mode pick, of all-time
To do this argument justice, let me explain the two main rules.
Every player who has ever played in the NFL is available to draft. The players are also in their prime, and about to have the best season they would ever have.
With this is mind, how could you not take the Green Bay Packers star quarterback number one overall?
Don’t get me wrong, there are a handful of players that could very easily be picked with the top pick. Tom Brady, Jerry Rice, Reggie White, and Joe Montana to name a few. All players I wouldn’t necessarily argue against taking above Rodgers.
Hell, you could end the argument by just bringing up Tom Brady’s rings alone. But that dismisses what Madden franchise mode is all about. You have to build a team, and in this scenario, who is to say Brady has the same career? Or any of the top guys for that matter? Which is why I always choose the most dangerous football player to ever play.
Aaron Charles Rodgers.
Aaron Rodgers Had All the Dream Scenario Tools
Mentally and physically, the former Green Bay Packers quarterback had everything a team wants in a franchise player.
Rodgers had one of the most gifted arms the league has ever seen.
He also could get it done with his legs.
He was always one step ahead mentally.
And of course, he had some magic to him as well.
The list goes on and on, with the highlights seeming endless.
So even without all the championships of some other contenders, my argument will never change; I’ll take the most dangerous player to step foot on a football field.
Green Bay Packers quarterback, Aaron Rodgers.
