The Green Bay Packers beat the Chicago Bears 38-20 in week one to start the season on a high note. Not only were the Packers off to a good start, but last week’s bets went 2-1. We will take that every time.
Here is a quick little recap from the week one bets.
Green Bay Packers Week One Betting Results
Aaron Jones over 41.5 receiving yards – This line was weird. Sunday before the game, it was sitting at 22.5, which made no sense. When this happens, you take those blessings. The Packers opening drive of the second half cashed this bet. Aaron Jones took a screen 51 yards. He ended the day with 86 receiving yards. (Win)
Team to score first: Chicago Bears – The Chicago Bears started the game with the ball. In a tradition unlike any other, they were a letdown. The Packers defense was too much for the Bears offense. (Loss)
Aaron Jones anytime touchdown – If you have not realized it yet, Aaron Jones is elite. The Packers were missing Watson, and you had to figure out that points had to come from somewhere. Getting Jones at plus money for a touchdown, you have to take the value. (Win)
Green Bay Packers vs. Atlanta Falcons Best Bets
First Best Bet: Packers +1.5
The Green Bay Packers opened at -1.5 but have since flipped. Packers are now underdogs again for the second week in a row. If Aaron Jones can’t go due to his hamstring, they must find other ways to generate offense. This play is strictly based on how good the Packers defense looked against the Bears.
Second Best Bet: Under 40.5 Total Points
This should be a defensive battle. The Atlanta Falcons are a run-first team with no problem burning the clock. They do not take many shots and will dink, dunk, and chew up the time of possession.
It will be challenging for the Packers to run against the Falcons, as their interior d line is their strength. There’s a good chance that two touchdowns are good enough to win this game.
Third Best Bet: Jordan Love Over 13.5 Rushing Yards
Jordan Love showed he is willing to use his legs. The Falcons will generate more pressure than the Bears, making Love navigate the pocket. Falcons like to bring A-gap blitzes, forcing Love to get outside the pocket.
