The Green Bay Packers come-from-behind win saved me from a 0-3 day.  The opportunities were there to have a great day but the bets ended up going 1-2.  I am now 5-4 on the season, staying just above .500.

Here is a quick recap of the day

Green Bay Packers Week Three Betting Results

Derek Carr Over 233.5 Passing Yards – This was on track to look like it would win, but he injured his AC joint when sacked by Rashan Gary.  He would end the day at 103 yards passing.  (Loss)

Packers Moneyline – This bet was not for the faint of heart.  Incredible job by Joe Barry’s defense and Jordan Love to score 18 unanswered to save me from an 0-3 day.  (Win)

Jordan Love Over 1.5 Passing Touchdowns – This bet had multiple opportunities, and I would bet it again for the value.  Jordan Love scored one through the ground and one through the air.  (Loss

Green Bay Packers vs. Detroit Lions Best Bets

Sam LaPorta Over 4.5 Receptions

The Lions rookie tight end is averaging six receptions a game.  In three games, LaPorta has been targeted by Jared Goff 22 times.  This is a good bet with De’Vondre Campbell out for the Packers.  At +150, the value is good, and I expect this bet to hit.

Romeo Doubs Over 3.5 Receptions

Romeo Doubs has seen 20 targets in three games and has twice had four or more receptions.  Chances are Brian Branch for the Lions will be playing the slot and taking away Jayden Reed, which will leave Doubs with more targets.  If Christian Watson does play, this play is even better.  This is a great line and should hit.

Luke Musgrave Over 36.5 Receiving Yards

Every game, it feels like Jordan Love just missed Luke Musgrave for a significant gain.  Musgrave has a knack for getting open, and this receiving prop won’t be this low for too much longer.  He averages five targets a game, but they are usually big plays.  Throughout the three games, he has averaged 12.5 yards a catch.  At three receptions, he has the chance to exceed 36.5.

The Lions have allowed the most yards to tight ends this year, surrendering 263 yards, ranking them last in the league.  Teams see a weakness in the Lions defending the tight end, with 36 targets and 25 receptions.  This is an excellent spot for Luke Musgrave to have a big day and possibly score.
