Green Bay Packers
Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love (10) celebrates a victory against the Chicago Bears as he leaves the field during their football game Sunday, September 10, 2023, at Soldier Field in Chicago, Ill. Green Bay won 38-20.

The Detroit Lions jumped off to a fast start, fitting the bets and the game flow perfectly.  Unfortunately, the bets went 1-2, and the Green Bay Packers lost embarrassingly in primetime.  The bets are now 6-6 on the season, a perfect .500.  It is time to clench down and have a positive week.

First, here is a recap from the week four bets.

Green Bay Packers Week Four Betting Results

Sam LaPorta Over 4.5 Receptions –  This can go down as the first official “Bad Beat.”  LaPorta had four receptions at halftime, and this one was ready to be cashed in and ready to move on.  The Lions ran the ball down the Packers throat, and he never saw a ball again.  (Loss)

Romeo Doubs Over 3.5 Receptions – This line was criminal; Love’s go-to options at only 3.5 receptions.  I wish they were all this easy.  (Win)

Luke Musgrave Over 36.5 Yards –  A concussion early in the game destroyed any chance of this cashing.  Deguara and Kraft ended with six receptions and 40 yards.  I have to think Musgrave eclipses that.  (Loss)

Green Bay Packers vs. Las Vegas Raiders Best Bets

Game Total Over 44.5

Neither of these defenses can convince me they can hold each other to two touchdowns.  Each offense has plus matchups.  Jimmy Garoppolo is cleared to play.  Easy bet here, over the 44.5 points.

Packers +1.5

This is the healthiest the Packers will have been all season on the offense.  Raiders defense is not good.  If the Packers can stop the run, I don’t see how the Raiders win this game.  This Packers offense should be in for a big game.

Aaron Jones Over 49.5 Rush Yards

The Raiders are giving up 4.3 yards per rush.  The Packers offense is at best when it goes through Aaron Jones.  Expect Jones to get a full workload before the bye week.  I would not be surprised if he gets this in the first half.
