The Green Bay Packers got the ball with three minutes and 34 seconds left on the clock and took the lead behind a throw from Jordan Love to Malik Heath. With a minute 33 left, the Packers were in control of the game with a one-point lead. Joe Barry and the Packers defense let Tommy DeVito and the New York Giants drive the field and kick the game-winning field goal as time expired. The Packers played poorly in all phases of the game but still had a chance at the end.

This article will list the top five worst and best PFF-graded players from each side of the ball.  We will also include some stats and some context to the grades.

By Analyzing these stats, we can get a better idea if they match up to what we see statistically. The PFF Grades are not everything, but give a good measure of where the player stands. A grade above 70 is good, and the 60s is average. A grade that is below 50 would be considered below average.

Green Bay Packers Offense

Top Five Offensive Grades

1. Patrick Taylor- PFF Grade: 77.9

2. Tucker Kraft – PFF Grade: 76.4

3. Zach Tom – PFF Grade: 72.2

4. Rasheed Walker – PFF Grade: 67.7

5. AJ Dillon – PFF Grade: 66.1

Bottom Five Offensive Grades

1. Ben Sims – PFF Grade: 52.4

2. Josh Myers – PFF Grade: 54.6

3. Romeo Doubs – PFF Grade: 54.7

4. Josiah Deguara – PFF Grade: 55.1

5. Elgton Jenkins – PFF Grade: 55.3

Green Bay Packers Offense Analysis

The Packers offense looked disorganized. They did not come ready to play and got utterly dominated in the trenches. Tucker Kraft had one of his best games of the year. He had four catches for 64 yards. His presence is felt in the run game with his blocking ability too.

The offense was without Christian Watson and Luke Musgrave; you could notice the difference. The defense was unafraid of getting beat deep, and the field was much more condensed. By opening up the underneath, Watson brings a lot of value, and the safeties must respect his speed.

With that being said, the offense had a poor showing. They were not as fluid as they have been the past month. Two turnovers from Jordan Love does not help the cause. Hopefully, they can get some guys healthy on the short week as they prepare for the visiting Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Green Bay Packers Defense

Top Five Defensive Grades

1. Devonte Wyatt – PFF Grade: 89.7

2. T.J. Slaton – PFF Grade: 86.9

3. Eric Wilson- PFF Grade: 75.2

4. Colby Wooden – PFF Grade: 73.3

5. Lukas Van Ness – PFF Grade: 72.1

Bottom Five Defensive Grades

1. Keisean Nixon – PFF Grade: 40.1

2. Kingsley Enagbare – PFF Grade: 40.9

3. Corey Ballentine – PFF Grade: 46.1

4. Karl Brooks – PFF Grade: 50.5

5. Darnell Savage – PFF Grade: 57.9

Green Bay Packers Defense Analysis

The Green Bay Packers created a lot of penetration but played out of control. I’d assume the grades do not reflect finishing the plays. Devonte Wyatt and T.J. Slaton were in the backfield multiple times quickly but were never able to make the play. They need to play more under control. Tommy DeVito took advantage of the poor rush lanes; he had ten carries for 71 yards.

The secondary played poorly as well. Having first-round picks sitting on the sidelines and relying on undrafted and late-round picks is hard. They could only get by so long until they were exposed. The Giants have a talented room of receivers, which showed Monday night. Keisean Nixon was a liability, and Darnell Savage’s poor tackling continues.

I am curious about what Matt Lafleur’s mindset is re-watching this game and having Joe Barry continue coaching this team. The Packers have too much talent on the defensive side of the ball to play this bad and passive. Over 200 yards on the ground to one of the worst offenses in the league is a fireable offense. At some point, enough has to be enough.
