The Green Bay Packers NFL Draft could not have started any better. Thursday night, six quarterbacks went in the first twelve picks. The Packers stayed tight at pick 25 and selected offensive lineman Jordan Morgan. According to Gutekunst, there were some opportunities to move back, but he didn’t like how far back they would be moving. Many thought the Packers would be taking either Cooper Dejean or Graham Barton. Ultimately, they decided to go with a player that Green Bay really liked, adding depth to the offensive line.

How Will Fit With The Green Bay Packers

Jordan Morgan was a three-year starter at the University of Arizona. He has a total of 37 starts under his belt and competed at the senior bowl.

Many view Jordan Morgan as a left tackle, but Gutekunst mentioned in his press conference that Morgan can play four spots on the offensive line. Morgan is seemingly the perfect Packers prospect. Gutenkunst raved in his press conference about how impressed they were with his recovery from an ACL tear in 2022. He is a high-character player and Arizona’s two-time team captain. According to Gutekunst, his teammates and coaches at Arizona only had good things to say about the man Jordan Morgan is.

At the start of camp, Morgan will compete with Sean Rhyan for the right guard position. The big positive Morgan offers is his ability to be a depth piece for the Packers if an injury occurs. If Rasheed Walker does have an injury, Morgan can kick out to left tackle. If Jordan Morgan gets some playing time at left tackle, he’ll take the spot and never look back.
