The Green Bay Packers (2-3) take on the Denver Broncos (1-4) Sunday in Denver. Both teams have not played up to their expectations this year. The Packers are coming off a bye, and the Broncos are trying to get right after a 19-8 loss to the Chiefs. This is a big game for Matt Lafleur and the Packers, trying to get the Packers back in the win column.

Jimmy Malchow (2-2): Packers Over Broncos 24-21
I feel uncomfortable with this pick after reading Friday’s Green Bay Packers injury report. If Jaire Alexander and Elgton Jenkins can’t go, this could be another ugly game. It is rare to see a team get more injured over their bye week.
I am putting my faith into Matt Lafluer and this offense to get right against the Broncos. The Broncos are not good at defending the run (last in the league), and they are poor at defending the tight end. Those are both areas the Packers like to utilize. Importantly, it sounds like Aaron Jones will be making a return. If Jones does return, I like this offense to get right.
Defensively, the Packers have been good, not great. The defense should be able to get after Russell Wilson and prevent the big plays. With Quay Walker returning to practice, that’s huge in defending the run. The Packers defense matches up well.
I expect this game to be ugly, but the Packers will pull it out in Denver.
Zach Weller (1-3): Packers Over Broncos 31-17
This seems like a good matchup for Green Bay. The Packers are in dire need of some consistency on offense. “Cue stage right,” one of the worst defenses in NFL history. If there was ever a time for the Packers to exercise their offensive demons, now is the time.
Aaron Jones should hopefully be ready to go, but even if he isn’t, this Broncos defense isn’t very good at stopping the run. No matter who is starting at running back, they should be licking their chops for this opportunity.
As for Joe Barry and the Defense, keep doing what you’re doing. The Green Bay Packers defense has been serviceable outside of the Lions game. Ultimately, this game will come down to the offense-sustaining drives to keep our defense fresh.
