The Green Bay Packers (3-6) host the Los Angeles Chargers (4-5) on Sunday in what could be a high-scoring game. The Packers are coming off of a tough loss to the Steelers, and the Chargers just lost to the Lions in a high-scoring game. Both teams have young quarterbacks with big-time arms, and we will be in for what should be a fun game.
Can the Packers steal a win from the Los Angeles Chargers in Lambeau?

Jimmy Malchow (5-3): Chargers Over Packers 27-24
The Chargers are coming from a shootout, putting up 38 points on the Lions defense. They can score on the ground or through the air. While the Packers offense looked to have taken a step against the Steelers last week, I am unsure if they have enough firing power.
The Chargers are the 31st team in yards given up and 32nd in yards given up through the air. If the offensive line can hold up against the Chargers front four, Love will have his first 300-yard passing day. The Key is that the tackles have to handle Joey Bosa and Khalil Mack. They are not bad against the run, but it’s partly due to how bad they are against the pass.
Defensively, for the Green Bay Packers, this might be a game in which you hope the offense makes mistakes. Chargers Keenan Allen will be a mismatch for any corners if Jaire Alexander cannot go. When Austin Ekeler was healthy, he gashed teams on the ground. With the way the Packers defense has been playing lately, I don’t see them stopping this Chargers offense often.
The Packers play in a close one but ultimately lose by a field goal. Jordan Love has his first 300-yard game, and Jayden Reed has his first 100-yard game. Chargers 27, Packers 24.
Zach Weller (2-6): Packers Over Chargers 24-21
I guess I didn’t learn my lesson from last week. I told myself I wouldn’t pick the Packers again in underdog games. The only thing getting me back up into the saddle for one more ride is how the Packers’ offense looked against a great Steelers defense.
While the Chargers defense is loaded with huge names, the statistics don’t look great. The Packers should be able to move the ball against them. The Chargers have eight players in the secondary, allowing more than 10 yards per reception, which should translate to the Packers cashing in a few explosive plays.
The Packers might be in trouble on the other side of the ball. Justin Herbert will hands down be the best QB the Packers have faced all season. I know Jared Goff is playing well, but I would Herbert over Goff any day of the week and twice on Sunday. This game should be close as long as the Packers can limit big plays and make Herbert uncomfortable. This should be a multiple-sack afternoon for Rashan Gary, and the Packers are undefeated in a game where Gary goes for more than one sack. It may only be one game, but it’s still undefeated.
The Packers squeak out a close win at home, 24-21.
