The Green Bay Packers travel to Minneapolis for a Sunday Night Prime Time game with everything on the line. This is a must-win game for either team to get into the playoffs.

Green Bay Packers Without Their Number One Cornerback

The news is out: Jaire Alexander was handed a one-game suspension. With their season on the line going against the best receiver in the league, Justin Jefferson, the timing couldn’t have been worse. It is unfortunate, but it had to be done. That said, the Packers go into the game with an abysmal secondary the past three weeks.

Carrington Valentine and Eric Stokes will get the matchup of Justin Jefferson. I expect the Packers to do what they did, similar to last year against the Vikings. They will press him with safety help over the top and make someone else beat them.

The Vikings are down T.J. Hockenson, who tore his ACL and MCL, and rookie Jordan Addison. It sounds like he won’t be able to go. This allows the defense to put the focal point all on Jefferson.

Minnesota Vikings Likely To Make Quarterback Change

The Vikings plan to start rookie Jaren Hall at quarterback on Sunday night. Jaren Hall, who played his college ball at BYU, brings another element to the game that could threaten the Packers.

Hall is an athletic quarterback who is dangerous when using his feet. At the combine, he ran a 4.62 forty. In his Junior year, he rushed for 378 yards and four touchdowns while throwing for 3171 yards and 31 touchdowns.

The Packers have shown to be a sieve against running quarterbacks. Recently benched Tommy DeVito rushed for 71 yards against the Packers in a prime-time game.

The Viking Are 1.5 Point Favorites

The Minnesota Vikings are favored over the Green Bay Packers on Sunday night. Last year, the Packers opened their season in Minnesota, where the Vikings won big. With new defensive coordinator Brian Flores, the Vikings defense is a much-improved unit. The last time these two teams met, the Vikings got the best of them.

Though the defense is much improved, the Packers offense has been able to step up in big games. They will need it Sunday night as they head to Minnesota as underdogs.
