The Green Bay Packers (2-4) host the Minnesota Vikings (3-4) in an interdivisional matchup. The Packers are coming off of a poor performance and a loss to the Broncos, while the Vikings are coming off a big win over the 49ers. The Vikings are without superstar wide receiver Justin Jefferson, but the offense has not slowed down. Can the Packers get a big win at home?

Jimmy Malchow (2-3): Vikings Over Packers 23-21

The Packers have not given me any reason to pick them. They have not shown that they will make changes offensively, and the conservative route last week was frustrating. Once The Offense starts playing like it did in the second half during Atlanta, I will feel more confident in this team.

Jaire Alexander’s missing practice would be a massive blow to the Packers secondary. While he could be a game-time decision, back problems can be lingering. The defense better come ready because the Vikings could blow this game out quickly.

I have tried to stay optimistic that the offense will figure out their first-half lulls, but nothing has shown us they have improved. The offensive line has a big task blocking the blitz-heavy Vikings defense.

The Vikings pull out a close one after the Packers fail to come back from behind.

Zach Weller (1-4): Packers over Vikings 21-20

This a classic case of head versus heart. On one hand, my heart tells me that the Packers are close to unlocking the first half. The Packers record would look completely different if they could score one first-half touchdown in the last two games. My head, however, is telling me a different story.

Two things are very clear. The mental mistakes are still happening, and the offensive line can’t block anyone. The Vikings are ranked third in the league in pass protection and first in run blocking. Not a very good matchup for the Packers, who have not been good in the trenches this season. The Vikings are also coming off an impressive statement win against the 49ers. Most people have the Niners pegged as a top three team in the NFL, which should only boost the Vikings confidence.

With all that in mind, I will go with my heart one last time and take the Packers at home 21-20.
