The Green Bay Packers (6-6) travel to East Rutherford to take on the New York Giants (4-8). The Packers have been one of the hottest teams in the league and look to improve their winning streak to four games. The Giants have struggled most of the year but have been playing better recently.

Here are the staff predictions for the game.

Jimmy Malchow (6-5): Packers Over Giants 24-16

I am slightly worried about this being a letdown spot for the Packers. I expect Matt LaFleur will have the guys locked in with the right mindset. The team’s confidence is at an all-time high, and the guys are playing with an edge.

The offense has been poetry in motion, and I don’t expect that to change against the Giants. There’s a chance the Packers get Aaron Jones back this week. If they can get Jones and Dillon going, the play-action will eat up the Giants secondary. Matt LaFleur has been “in his bag,” and his play-calling has put the Packers in a position to succeed.

The Giants are allowing a league-leading 5.8 sacks per game. The Packers defensive line should be able to take advantage and gives them the ability to rush four while dropping seven into coverage. Giants quarterback Tommy DeVito’s numbers drastically drop when under pressure rather than a clean pocket. He completes 67.5% of his passes when the pocket is clean but only 45.5% when pressured. DeVito has been a bright spot for the Giants offense and has played well the past two weeks. The Packers should be aggressive and get after him.

Jordan Love stays hot and throws for three touchdowns, and Rashan Gary has a multiple-sack game. The Packers win 24-16.

Zach Weller (5-6): Packers Over Giants 35-20

I’ve been a homer all season and am not about to stop now. The Giants are maybe the weakest opponent the Packers have remaining on their schedule. They are the worst offense in the NFL. They are averaging 258.7 yards per game and only 13 points per game. That is tied with the New England Patriots and 1.3 points less than Aaron Rodgers team, the Jets.

Defensively, they aren’t much better. They are 28th in total yards allowed per game (364.3) and give up 24.3 points per game (26th). One thing that the Packers should look forward to is the Giants blitzing. Jordan Love has been lights out this season when blitzed. He has completed 92 passes for 979 yards, six touchdowns and no interceptions. That is good enough for a 93.1 passer rating. So go ahead, Wayne, blitz us to death. It might just end up being the death of your defense on Monday.

If the Packers can avoid falling into a trap game here and respect one of the best running backs and offensive coaches in the NFL, this shouldn’t be a close game. I’m going with the Green Bay Packers in a convincing win, 35-20.
