The Green Bay Packers (3-5) go to Pittsburgh to take on the Steelers (5-3). The Steelers have struggled offensively this year, but their defense has kept them in games. This is a matchup of two teams who are offensively deficient in the first half.

The Packers confidence is running high after a dominating win over the Los Angeles Rams. Can the Packers carry their momentum to another win?

Jimmy Malchow (4-3): Steelers Over Packers 21-17

The Packers are going to be without Jaire Alexander and Quay Walker. They also have a handful of starters who are questionable. Both teams are in the bottom five in scoring in the first half. The Steelers have an excellent defensive line led by T.J. Watt. The Packers have struggled offensively, blocking the top defensive ends in the league. I think the Packers offense struggles on Sunday.

Defensively, the Packers are going to be young in the secondary. With No Jaire Alexander and Rudy Ford possibly missing his second consecutive game, the Packers will rely on an inexperienced secondary. The Packers will have a chance to stay in this game, though. The Steelers average only 16.6 points per game, which is good for 28th in the league.

The Packers struggle offensively and lose in an ugly game 21-17.

Zach Weller (2-5): Packers Over Steelers 27-20.

This game seems destined to be decided in the second half. The Packers and the Steelers start slow on offense but generally turn things on in the second half, making most of their games interesting. If the Packers have any chance of winning, the defense must come up with another great performance.

The only edge I would give the Packers over the Steelers is at Quarterback, but only by a hair in a game set up to be a close fourth-quarter battle. Give me the team with the better QB. I’ll take the Pack over the Steelers 27-20.
