The Green Bay Packers won a close game at home against the Los Angeles Chargers, 23-20. The Packers improve to 4-6 and are a game out from the playoffs. The offense has been showing improvements and growth over the last three weeks. The defense did just enough to get the win.

Here are the studs and duds from the Packers win over the Chargers.

Green Bay Packers Studs

Wide Receiver Jayden Reed

Every game, it feels like Jayden Reed has a more prominent role on the team. Sunday, he balled out. Reed ran the ball three for 46 yards and a touchdown. He also caught four catches for 46 yards. His ability to make plays after the catch is much needed on the team.

Jayden Reed also showed his ability to block. He is quickly making a case as the Packers number-one wide receiver.

Quarterback Jordan Love

This is the NFL; it doesn’t matter if the Chargers have the 31st pass defense. Jordan Love played his best game of his career and passed for over 300 yards, an NFL longest active streak. 2021 was the last time a Packers quarterback threw for over 300, and it was Rodgers vs. the Chicago Bears.

Jordan Love finished with 322 yards and two touchdowns while completing 67.5% of his passes. He made numerous big throws and was decisive in the pocket.

This is the third game in a row that Jordan Love has looked the part. Let’s see if he can carry this momentum to Thanksgiving when they revisit the Detroit Lions.

Wide Receiver Donatyvion Wicks

Sunday, Dontayvion Wicks had three receptions over 25 yards. He finished the game with three receptions for 91 yards. He made a crucial play on the game-winning drive, breaking a tackle and taking it 35 yards into Chargers territory. Wicks, who has struggled with catching the ball, has been a stud and getting open.

If he can become more consistent, he will have a bright future in Green Bay.

Green Bay Packers Duds

Anders Carlson

Anders made this game closer than it should have. The 52-yard field goal miss was partially his fault and partially due to a poor snap. The extra point, though, has been an issue. Instead of making it a four-point game, it was a three-point game. Down the stretch, if they want to make a playoff push, they need every point they can get.

Anders has the leg, but he needs to get more consistent with accuracy.

Jonathan Owens

Jonathan Owens was a liability on Sunday. He missed an open-field tackle from Stone Smartt, and it didn’t even look like he tried. Smartt took the pass 52 yards for a touchdown. It was an ugly play from Owens; as a safety, he must make that play.

Jon Runyan

I want to hear what the Packers’ coaching staff thinks of Jon Runyan because he has not looked good. He and Sean Rhyan split snaps Sunday. Runyan gave up a sack, and he was beaten immediately. He also missed a few blocks in the run game, where he barely got a hand on the defender.
