The Green Bay Packers are hosts Sunday night to Taylor Swift and the Kansas City Chiefs. The Packers look to improve their win streak to three in a row, but this will be their toughest matchup yet. The Chiefs are no world beaters, having lost two of their last four games. A Packers win could have them set up in position for a legitimate shot at the playoffs. Can they get it done on Sunday night against the 2022 champions?

Here are the staff predictions for the game.

Jimmy Malchow (5-5): Packers Over Chiefs 23-21

In back-to-back weeks, I have gone against the Packers. Whether the Detroit Lions are frauds or not, the Packers have shown me enough that they have turned the corner offensively. I have fully drank the Kool-aid and now can see a path where the Packers beat the Kansas City Chiefs.

Over the past few weeks, the Packers have improved their pass blocking. Giving Jordan Love time has been crucial to the improvement of the offense. Though the Chiefs are solid against the pass, the Packers should be able to take advantage underneath. The Packers offensive line will be tested Sunday night.

Defensively, this game comes down to finding Travis Kelce. He leads the team in targets and is Patrick Mahomes go-to guy. If the Packers can win with four like they did last week against the Lions, they should have a chance in this game. Hopefully, Jaire Alexander will be back after missing the previous few weeks.

I don’t think this game will be the shootout game we all want, but more like how it was in 2020. A defensive battle that will come down to who makes less mistakes. I’d expect plenty of blitzing from the Chiefs side, Steve Spagnuolo dialed up plenty of it the last time these two met.

Jordan Love throws for two touchdowns, and the Packers force two turnovers. The Packers win in a close defensive battle, 23-21.

Zach Weller (4-6): Packers Over Chiefs 24-17

The Lions game showed that the Packers are ready to contend with any team in the NFL. Remember, this same Lions team beat Kansas City in the first game of the year. This is a game the Packers should feel confident they can win. This is the best defense the Packers will face for the rest of the regular season. The KC defense only allows 16.5 points per game, and it will take more than that to bet them. They should have a chance if the Packers can follow a formula similar to the one they used against the Lions.

Jordan Love has also been on a heater the past four games. He has thrown eight touchdowns and two interceptions to go along with 1164 total yards. I believe that if Jordan Love can continue to excel, the Packers will defend the home field and take down the mighty Chiefs.
